Dan Dougherty

Author/Artist

Dan Dougherty is a writer, artist and musician.  His comics career began in 2006 with the graphic novel Cyclone Bill and the Tall Tales.  Since then, he illustrated dozens of books in multiple genres.  In 2012 he received a Shel Dorf Award after 2011 in which he was nominated for two Shel Dorf Awards for best syndicated comic strip (Beardo) and best self-published comic book (Bob Howard:  Plumber of the Unknown).

His band, Workhorse Kings, just released a new album in 2012 called Triple Crown which is a follow-up to their 2010 album, Carousel.

Currently, Dougherty is working on The Apocalypse Plan, a graphic novel written by Rafael Nieves, to be published by Transfuzion Publishing, a company he co-founded with former Caliber Comics publisher Gary Reed; as well as projects for Moonstone Books
